# Switch unit

A unit represents a part of your organization, a department, or legal unit.

If you wan't to go to another unit, go to the Dashboard menu and press **Switch unit.**

When you switch unit Dashboard will reload - so if you have work in progress you will be prompted to save - and Dashboard will take a new shape - if it is configured differently. In some cases you may not notice any difference.
