# Preview

You have three different ways of previewing the photo and/or the metadata of a photo.

1. Only preview the metadata
2. Medium-sized preview of the photo and the metadata
3. Fullscreen preview of the photo and the metadata

### Only preview the metadata

You can preview the metadata of the photo by clicking on the tag-icon, or press M if you use keyboard navigation.

To the right of the list, a preview of the metadata for the photo you have in focus is visible. If you want to you can copy the text in the preview. To close this preview you click on the tag icon once more, or press M again.

If you want to, you can have this part open all the time. You click on the photo you want to or go with the arrows on the keyboard to change the photo you have in the preview.

#### Photo Name display on preview

With the release of **Naviga Photos 4.3.2**, photo names are now displayed consistently across all key areas where photo previews or thumbnails appear

* **Naviga Photos** (Search and History tabs)
* **Newsroom Planner- My Assignments**

On uploading photo to Naviga Photos, the original image filename is saved as the photo name. Photo names are displayed as an overlay on images with a fixed maximum length; longer names are truncated with ellipses, and the full name is visible on hover.

This enhancement is **config‑driven**:

1. A new toggle, **`showPhotoName`**, is introduced in the configuration of **Dashboard plugins:** Naviga Photos and Newsroom Planner

* When the **showPhotoName** toggle is turned **on**, photo names are displayed on images. When the toggle is turned **off**, photo names are hidden.
* Bydefault this toggle remains ON.
