# Linked Photos

A new setting has been added in Newsroom planner configuration that enables user to make the “Link photos” option enable/disable in My assignments.

<figure><img src="/files/n6Rf7mdVJXzGRKoJGsLe" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. &#x20;When the flag is set to true, and user tries to access Link photos option from any photo assignment under “My Assignments” then “Link photos” option is disabled for that unit.

```json
"disableLinkPhotos": true
```

2. &#x20;When the flag is set to false and user tries to access Link photos option from any photo assignment under “My Assignments” then “Link photos” option is enabled for that unit.

```javascript
"disableLinkPhotos": false
```

**Points to consider**

1. Flag in the configuration will be set to false by default.
2. If the key is missing in configuration, "Link photos” option remains enabled for that unit.

**Points to remember:**

* Link photos option will not be available in edit photo assignment under My assignment view when the assignment is opened in modal and **"disableLinkPhotos": true** is set on configuration.
* On NRP, there would not be any change in Link photos option when user navigates from Plan>edit assignment or Assignment>Edit assignment, Link photos options will always exist for user.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.navigaglobal.com/newsroom-planner/admin-guide/settings/configuration/linked-photos.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
