# Search

This is a part of Newsroom Planner where you can search for events, plans or assignments you want to see regardless of what date you have selected in the calendar view You can search for old, planned and undated event, plans and assignment. (In the calendar view you only filter among the dates you see in the calendar view)

If you have make the setting "Planning" in the top, it is planning cards you see. If you want to search for an event or an assignment you have to change to this in the top.

If you have a small screen you can minimize the search by clicking on the chevron.

When you have made a search, you see this clearly since the search icon is black.

If you want to see undated cards you can choose this by activating this toggle. If the toggle is off you only see dated cards.

### Set a date on an undated card

You have two ways of setting a date for an undated card.

1. You can open it and set a date when you have the card i edit view.
2. But the fastest way to set a date is just to drag the card to the column that has the date you want. However, if you want to set both date and time you need to open it. When you drag and drop a card in a column, time will automatically be "full day".

When you drag a plan, the linked assignments will also get a date. But if you drag an event it is only the event that gets the date. If you have linked plans with assignments to the event, you also have to set the date on them.
