Make Draw

This option allows you to create route draw records for a selected product and publishing day. Draw is generated based on routing, rate setup, and the Publishing Calendar, including holiday definitions.

To create route draw:

1. Select Make Draw from the Character Utilities | Tools menu.

   
2. Select Add and complete the following fields.

   Field	Type	What to enter
   PRODUCT	setup	Select the publication for which draw should be created.
   ALL ROUTES?	yes/no	Select Yes to create draw for all routes for the selected product. Select No to specify an individual route.
   ROUTE	setup	If All Routes? is set to No, enter the route for which draw should be created.
   DAY OF WEEK	predefined	Enter SU, M, TU, W, TH, F, SA, or * to create draw for all days. If the selected day is defined as a holiday in the Publishing Calendar, draw will be created seven days in advance. If the selected day is defined as a holiday for two consecutive weeks, draw will be created for the third week. If Make Draw is run again after the selected day is removed from the holiday calendar, route draw will be created on the selected date and any previously created route draw that was forwarded due to the holiday will be removed.
   BY RATE CODE ONLY	yes/no	Select Yes to create draw only for routes that have a RouteDrawByRateCode record defined. Select No to create draw for all applicable routes, regardless of whether a RouteDrawByRateCode record exists.

3. After completing all required fields, press Enter. The system will create the draw based on the selected criteria.
