Highlights
Updated UI in the client with new icons and list views
A modern, future proof server architecture that also allows web apps to connect to and use the backend.
A new, server-based access and privilege Newspilots model is implemented and used in Newspilot 5. That also enables 3rd parties to use the Newspilot API:s with access only to the content types and products necessary. The user interface in the Newspilot client is changed to support the new model.
Better integration with our digital Creation Tools. The new Dashboard Print overview application shows an overview of the page production in Newspilot.
New versions of the Naviga Writer integration will require Newspilot 5.
Supports (and requires) Java 11.
Java is bundled in the application; no external java installation is needed.
MacOS client is notarised and ready for BigSur.
Many Newspilot services can be configured using the Newspilot client in parallel with the existing services configuration. The services supporting client config are File Backup, Fileflow, Importer, Integration gateway, Media Distiller, Media Export, Page Robot and Open Content Export (NOC).
All Newspilot services, except for PageRobot, can now run on Linux.
