Product Budgets

Navigate to the advertising module’s menu Setup -> Product Budgets.

Choose the product from the drop-down and the year for which to enter the budget.

The screen displays the month column, budget column, 3 forecast columns, actuals of campaigns for the month, and last year’s numbers.

To enter the budget, click the mouse in each cell and enter the numbers for budgets or forecasts. When finished, click on the “Save” button.

An alternative to the individual cell entry, click on “Copy”.

The pop-up copy budget screen is displayed, and you can then choose the product to copy from in the drop-down menu. Enter the year to copy from the data. Then choose the column to copy to, whether it is the budget or any of the forecast columns.

Click on “Copy Numbers”.

The system displays the data in the budget column. Click on “Save” to store the data.

Another alternative is to automatically fill out the cells of the budgets and forecasts. Click on the option “Auto Fill Numbers”.

In the “Starting Month” field, choose the month to start from. This can be any month in the beginning, middle or anywhere in the year.

In the “Columns to Update” column, check the box for budget, and/ or any of the forecasts.

Enter the amount to fill in. This can be an amount per month or the total amount for the year and in the “Fill Type”, you can choose to spread it evenly across the months beginning with the month you chose, or you can spread it evenly across the months depending on the number of days in each month. So, the amount per month can be divided by 30 or 31 or 28 for February.

When finished, click on the “Apply Number”.

Click on “Save” to store the numbers.

Import Budgets

Click on this node to import budgets which you have stored in the excel sheet template provided in this screen.

Click the button “Download Template”, and an excel sheet displays.

Enter the digital product ID in the “Product ID” column, which is mandatory. Enter the description of the digital product such as the name of the product. This field is optional.

Under every column from column C till column N, enter the numbers you want displayed for the budget, or forecast 1 or forecast 2. These columns are mandatory. You can enter 0 value or leave blank and the system will read this column as 0 value.

Save the spreadsheet to your desktop.

In the Naviga screen, click on “Select” to browse for this spreadsheet. Choose the spreadsheet and this will get the sheet uploaded into the system.

Choose the “Budget Type” to be budget or forecast 1 or forecast 2. Enter the year for which this budget is entered.

Click on the “Test Import File” button. You should receive a confirmation message with no errors. But if the system identifies an error, you must click the x Remove button from the application’s screen. Then edit the spreadsheet to fix the errors and then resave the file. Upload the file again and re-click the test import file.

Click “Import File”. Note that once you do so, this information will overwrite any existing Budgets for the Digital Product and the import cannot be undone.

If you click the node “Product Budgets”, and choose the product, you will see the new numbers displayed.

Once you enter a campaign against the month and bill it, the actuals are reflected in this screen.

Product Analysis Report

Navigate to the menu Analysis -> Campaigns Report -> Product/ Group Analysis. Enter the product from the drop-down menu, and the starting month and year. Click on “Get Data”.

The screen displays the graph and numbers for the product and shows the data for the “Budget” by month, and “Budget vs. Confirmed” by month.
