When you need to find a special photo you have a nice function for this. You find it in the menu to the left.
As standard, there is support for free text search of the data you entered when uploading, as well us the suggest search for Photographer, Author and Tags.
When the grid view is selected from top right icon (near the search tab) then photos are available in grid view shown below.
When the list view is selected from top right icon (near the search tab) then photos are available in list view which show the photos in two columns along with their meta data information shown below
Below you will see examples of free text searches in Naviga Photos. (You can see example of how no 1 will look like at the bottom of this list.)
A person with the exact name Torbjörn Nilsson: Freetext: "Torbjörn Nilsson" Note. To get a hit a photo needs to have the exact string.
A person with the exact name Torbjörn Nilsson AND the club IFK Göteborg: Freetext: "Torbjörn Nilsson" AND "IFK Göteborg" Note. To get a hit a photo needs to have both strings present.
A person with the name Anders Jonsson OR Anders Johnsson, we don't know the spelling of the last name: Freetext: "Anders Jonsson" OR "Anders Johnsson" Note. To get a hit a photo needs to have at least one of the exact strings.
I want to find photos of a padelhall or padelarena in Halmstad. Freetext: padel* AND halmstad* Note. To get a hit a photo needs to have padelhall or padelarena or padelbana etc AND halmstad or hamlstads
I want to find photos of marathon. Might also be spelled maraton in the description: Freetext: marat*on Note. The * will represent any character or no character.
I want to find photos of Alf Engkvist but I am not sure if it is Engkvist, Engqvist, Engquist, Enqvist, Enkvist, Enquist etc: Freetext: alf AND en*ist Note. To get a hit a photo needs to have alf AND either of Engkvist, Engqvist, Engquist, Enqvist, Enkvist, Enquist but it will also accept envist or englandsturist.
I want to find photos of Alf Engkvist but I am not sure about if it is Engkvist, Engqvist or Engquist. I am sure there are two characters between Eng and ist: Freetext: alf AND eng??ist Note. ? represents one (1) character. ?? represent two (?) characters. The ? is accepting any character. To get a hit a photo needs to have alf AND either of Engkvist, Engqvist or Engquist It will not find Enqvist, Enkvist, Enquist or accept envist or englandsturist.
You can choose to search for two different types of date. The date when the photo is uploaded to Naviga Photos, or the actual photo date.
