When you create a photo assignment you choose "Photo" as type in the assignment. At the bottom, you see that the possibility to create article is gone and instead you can choose to link photos.
You click on Link photos. Naviga Photo is now opened. You search for the photos you want to link to the assignment. Select the ones you want to link (1) and click on the button Link selected photos (2).
Naviga Photo will now close automatically and you are back in the assignment. As you can see your selected photos are now linked to the assignment. Do not forget to save the assignment before you leave.
