# Edit Event

If you have already created an event and want to edit it, open it by clicking on it in the calendar. Then click on the pen icon to edit and the card opens up and you can do the changes you want.

Earlier we mentioned that you can add a planning to an event and to do so you open the event for editing. [How you add the Planning is described here.](https://app.gitbook.com/@infomaker/s/newsroom-planner/browse-and-filter/untitled)

When you are done with your editing you click on Save, or Cancel if the changing was wrong. When you are in editing mode, it is not possible to do anything else in Newsroom Planner before you close the editing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.navigaglobal.com/newsroom-planner/3.0.1/user-guide/events/edit-an-event.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
