Link Content to Push Notification

By linking content to the push message you can control where in the application the user enters after interacting with the push notice.

The plugin supports two types of content to be linked to your push message.

  • Article

  • Package

Drag and Drop

You can link an article to your push message simply by using drag'n'drop from the Article Search plugin in your dashboard.

Upon dropping the article card from the Article Search plugin into the drop area, the plugin will fetch metadata for the article to present in the plugin. This is useful so you are sure the right content is linked to your push message.

If the plugin finds metadata it will also populate your Title and Body text as a convenience. You are free to edit this text before saving or sending your push notice. The text does not change the article that you are linking.

If the content is set to be published in the future, the date and time fields of the form will also be updated with this information. Again, this is only a suggestion and you can update or remove it if you want to send your push at another time.

If you edit the fields the plugin will no longer update or remove the content of the fields when you set a new linked content.

With the same ease you can link a package from the OC List plugin to your push message.

Type in UUID manually

If you don't have the article search or OC-List plugins installed, you can manually enter the UUID of the content into the drop area. If the Content Agent is ready, the metadata will be fetched and presented to you in the plugin.
