Currency Tracking

Prerequisites

Multiple currencies must be set up in Setup -> System Tables Setup -> Currency Setup

Currencies to use in Currency Tracking must be selected in Setup -> System Tables Setup -> Currency Tracking. All created currencies will be displayed. Select those you wish to track and save.

Currency Tracking Screens

Various report screens (but not all) in the system display the currency tracking options in the different modules. These are just some examples.

CRM

Navigate to the main menu of CRM and use the menu tiles to navigate to all the different orders, proposals, and opportunities. Note that the drop-down menu on the right whenever there are amounts to be viewed will supply the ability to track by different currencies.

Click on My Opportunities and view the tracking option.

Click on Proposals menu and view the tracking options.

Advertising

In the Advertising module, you can view the different currency tracking options if you navigate to the Campaigns -> Orders by Product.

Similarly, are the 12 Period Report found in Analysis -> Campaign Reports -> 12 Period Analysis

Sales Rep Report by Year is another example of report to view the currency tracking.

Exhibitions

In the exhibitions module, navigate to Exhibitions -> Exhibition Overview and select the desired show from the dropdown.

Navigate to Analysis -> Rep Summary

Budget Exchange Rate

In the currency setup screen under the advertising module menu Setup -> Systems Table Setup Currency Setup, the system allows for entering a budget exchange rate as well as tracking of this rate’s history.

When user enters this rate against a certain currency, user will be allowed later to track all reports allowing for currency tracking in a budget exchange rate (either this year, last year or next year's budget exchange rate).

There is also a Group Security setting in which user can choose the options by which to view the tracking.

Navigate to the menu Setup -> Admin -> Group Security -> Advertising Security.

Scroll to the Currency Tracking Display Options section and choose whether to display all tracking currency options including current exchange rate, exchange rate from budget only or not display the tracking currency options at all and display only the local currency.
