The advertising module will be the primary module for booking ads and managing the material collection process. How you view the home screen will be dependent on your security. See below for details on navigating the home screen.
Navigate to various sections of this guide by clicking on the sections to the left or use the below table for popular topics:
Learn how to create and manage campaigns
Customers can be created in many ways. They might be imported from a legacy system or external source, an outside rep might add them in the CRM module or they might be created during order entry in the call center.
Learn how to create and maintain products, including product groups, rate maintenance, sections, positions and more
Learn how to set up all the various components that come together to then be able to set up products and then book ads in the system
Learn how to collect materials and assign them to campaigns and issues, view all orders for an issue and easily see what materials remain to be chased.
Invoices can be emailed or mailed, can be posted to our A/R and collected within the Naviga Ad system, or they can be sent to a 3rd party Accounting system depending upon your setup.
Advertising Home Screen
For general users, the Customer Search will be at the top, followed by the list of recent accounts and campaigns. Reports that you have been given access to will be on the right side where users can mark certain reports as their favorite to keep it pinned to the top of the list.
The large tiles at the top and the net confirmed orders section will typically only be displayed for managers. After the top section, the remainder of the screen is the same as it is for general users.
See User Security -> Advertising -> User Settings for the default home page settings.
Executive Home Screen tiles

The first Navigation tile is “Home."

The home tile displays a summary of the advertising confirmed orders net within specific time range on top. It also gives the user the capability to search on a customer by name or ID.
On the latest accounts tab, users can view the latest accounts by type, name, ID, and address. Click the Name or Account ID to open the account overview screen in the current tab. Click the accounting or advertising summary links to open the account overview (accounting or CRM tabs) in another browser tab.
Click the campaigns tab to see the user's latest list of 50 campaigns/proposals. All information is given with hyperlinks for further drill down.
The screen also provides a list of key reports which user can mark as favorites by clicking on the star icon. This will move the report up the list of reports. Advertising Group Security dictates what reports are available to this user.
Sales Activity
Click on the menu tile Sales Activity. This menu provides a summary of sales reps’ confirmed orders for various periods of time.

Every rep has an expansion arrow which expands to provide details of the product and its format as well as order amounts per number of days.
Click on the sub menu called “Sales Activity by Product Group”. This menu provides the details per product group, which you can choose from the “Product Group” drop-down menu.

Product Group Analysis
This menu tile provides a graphic form of information regarding a product group’s performance.

Choose the filters from the drop-downs for the product group, the starting financial period which the system will use as a starting point, and list 12 periods from that period, the sales rep to be the one on the order or on the brand/ division, the unit of measure being sales amounts, budget amounts or a comparison of both, and the different order statuses.
The data displays by product, by sales rep, by product format, by category, and more. When you click these tabs, the graph will adjust to display the tab data.
When you click the tab “By Format”, the graph will reflect the numbers per period by product format, whether it is print, or web, or e-newsletter, depending on the format setup you have in the system setup.
You can choose a product group, a period to start your analysis from the drop down, whether rep is on the brand or the order, the order statuses and units of measure as sales numbers, budget numbers or performance comparison. Then click on “Select Data”.
Product Analysis
This menu tile displays a 12-period analysis by product. This is a similar looking report to the Product/Group Analysis report, but with a YOY comparison rather than a comparison to budgets.

You can select the report to be displayed by group, and choose the group or you can select to report by product and then you can select the product from the drop down.
Select the period to start the report with, the sales rep group, currency, the field to summarize by such as product, or rep or advertiser, and so forth.

Select the order statuses and then click “Select Data”.
Click the tab “Current vs. Prior Year” to view the data as compared between the two or click “Revenue” to view the revenue per period starting with the period you chose in the selection criteria.
Publication Analysis
This tab provides data analysis for the print publication and issue you choose from the criteria.
Without the Executive Dashboad tile, this report can also be found from the Advertising home screen in the reports list if the user has a group security which allows the Issue-based Product Analysis report to be selected.

The data is displayed in both numbers and graph. Click the various tabs to view the net revenue versus the pages versus the yield, versus the Industry/ PIB and comparison between the different this year and last year’s. Advertiser Summary and Agency Summary are also provided.
