Security ID Change

Security ID Change allows you to change the name of a security ID.

Note: Be advised that any reports created under an old security ID will no longer be accessible through Circulation. Before changing a security ID, be sure users no longer require access to these reports. The reports will still be accessible in the spool folder, however, and can be viewed using other programs.

To change a security ID:

1. In character Circulation, select Security ID Change from the Security menu to display the Security ID Change screen.

   
2. Select Add and complete the following fields.

   Field	Type	What to enter
   OLD SECURITY ID	open (8)	Enter the name of the security ID whose name you want to change.
   NEW SECURITY ID	open (8)	Enter the new name for the security ID.
   NEW SECURITY DESCRIPTION	open (30)	Enter a description of the security ID.

3. Select Continue to change the security ID.
