Customers

Customer Inquiry

In the Production module, navigate to Customers -> Customer Inquiry

This will take you to a search screen to find an existing customer account. Search by Name at the top, or on the advanced search tab you can search by Name and many other fields. Can also search by a credit card (last 4-digits and card type) on the Search by Card Transaction tab. See also Customers (A/R) for more search tips.

Once search results are displayed click on the customer name or ID to open the Account Summary screen. Use the "History" tab to quickly select a recently accessed account (last 50 accounts displayed)

This search is the same as the Advertiser Inquiry Screen in the Advertising module, except that clicking on the account on the search results tab will direct you to the Accounting tab on the account screen rather than the CRM tab.

Customer Maintenance

Navigate to Customers -> Customer Maintenance. This will direct you to the same screen as advertiser maintenance in the Advertising Module.

Unique settings to the Production Module are found on the Job Costing Setup node:

Class Code Rates

This section can provide override / client-specific rates for specific class codes. Select a Class from the dropdown, enter the hourly rate for this client, and click the plus sign to add that override.

Save at the bottom of the screen.

Tax & Credit Settings

This will set the tax rate and billing terms for billing completed in the Production Module.

Billing Settings

Use Estimate Billing - clicking yes here will enable the client to be billed on estimate amounts and will open the next three settings for editing. Setting to yes will allow the client to be billed on the estimate.

Estimate Approval Required - If above is yes, this will require that the estimate be approved before the bill can be sent.

To approve a job, open the job (Jobs -> Enter/Edit a Job) and in the top right dropdown, select Approve this job:

Billing contact Type - The Billing contact can be a contact person on the account or it can be a free-format text field where the user types in a name. "Manual" is displayed above. "Contact Person" will change the Billing Contact field to be a dropdown instead. Edit with the pencil icon and add a new contact with the +

Delivery Method - Options here are Email, Print, or Print & Email. If email is selected, be sure to select a contact person with an email address from the section below.

Division Maintenance

This screen is the same as Brand Maintenance in Advertising and Division Maintenance in Exhibitions.
