# Common questions when starting using Writer

### How do I insert a live chatt in Writer text?

You can do that with embedded code. Select the part of the text, where the chat is to be displayed. Click the edit pen and then the symbol with the code - parenthesises, and you will get an area where you can add the code.

### Can you add links from articles that where written before we started with the Writer?

If I do search in related articles there will be no hits.

You will have to include links from the site instead, i.e. blue links.

You do that by selection the text and press: ![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/PV331j1GMgm7C2hJ6722/blobs/45S6yEdKxxIlkUVxzN4o/image%20\(9\)%20\(4\)%20\(2\)%20\(1\)%20\(1\).png)

You can test the link afterwards by pressing this button: ![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/PV331j1GMgm7C2hJ6722/blobs/AylOQ8TniXZYSEvOaRvR/image.png)

### Is it possible to open an article that somebody else has open?

I could open it without pressing the locker-symbol, and without a warning is that correct behaviour?

You can always open the article but not do any changes if somebody else has unsaved changes. You se if the other person is green in the corner.

### Is it possible to have headers over two rows?

No, don't do that, it will result in a header with just the first row displaying.

### How do I make a copy of a Writer article?

You can do that with the function in bottom of the save and publish dialog.

If you have an integration with print articles you shoul dmaybe do it with that system. Check your setup.

### How do I insert text from word, mail or google in Writer text?

Test to insert with shift+cmd+v to get a correct formatting.

### How do I see the publication day, not only time, in related articles lists?

Hover (i.e hold the mouse over) the Time-field and you will see more Time information.
