When creating new articles, each new article is created from a template that has been created by an administrator. A template consists of both predefined content (or empty paragraphs), teasers and metadata.
The user has the possibility to create and maintain one personal template with content and metadata that will be applied to every new article.
Before you create your personal template, be sure to load an empty article or save your current article (any open article will be closed in the process). The template will be created from the global template you normally start from.
To create and maintain your personal template, click the Writer icon in the top left corner. Click the the button create personal template.
You will enter a slightly different mode of the Writer, showing you clearly you are modifying a template.
Make changes to the template, such as setting commonly used metadata. Remember to save your template when you are done.
If changes are needed, you do that from the same menu, with the difference that the button will now be called Edit personal template.
