03/2021 Release update
The latest release update from the Naviga Content Creation team.
This release cycle we focused on getting the new Writer 7 ready for production deployment, as well as refining planning functionality and copy possibilities throughout the platform. In this document you will find an overview of the releases as well as links for more in depth reading.
Dashboard Applications
Writer integration-plugin:
Version 3.0.0: The main feature of this release is to give the possibility to copy articles in Dashboard. There are possibilities to clean up the copy (remove channels and other concepts for example), as well as a “copy and edit” feature. Please read the requirements and required changes as stated in GitBook, as each customer content needs to be checked with the Naviga backend team before the feature can be used.
Newsroom Planner
Version 5.0.0: The main feature of this release is the ability to copy planning packages, there are also changes in how objects are sorted and there is a new “favourite filters” feature.
Version 5.1.0: The main feature of this release is the improve the copy feature to add more functionality when copying articles. See Writer 3.0.0.
Publication Planner
Version 4.2.0: Added ability to open Newsroom Planner assignments directly from the application. Version 4.3.0: The main feature of this release is to give the possibility to copy articles from the Article Search application. See Writer 3.0.0 for more information.
Article Search
Version 3.1.0: Added ability to open Newsroom Planner assignments directly from the application. Version 3.2.0: The main feature of this release is to give the possibility to copy articles from the Article Search application. See Writer 3.0.0 for more information.
Photos
Version 2.0.0: Added a new metadata view in search, as well as additional possibilities for customized metadata.
Writer Core
We are happy to announce that Writer 7 has now been released and is available for our customers. This is a major version upgrade with several changes and additions.
