Layout and print preview

After the print version of the story has been sent to NCS Content, the story may be placed on the page following typical NCS Content/InDesign workflow.

After the story has been placed on a page, the story's print layout may be previewed in Naviga Writer.

If an Article Geometry is selected in Naviga Writer at the time the print story is created, you may preview that story's layout in Naviga Writer before the story is placed on the page.

NOTE: The print preview functionality in Naviga Writer requires that Adobe InDesign Server is running in the NCS Content environment.

Previewing the story

Click anywhere in the print preview window to generate a preview of the article. The progress indicator will spin while InDesign Server generates the preview.

You can make changes to the text and preview those changes in the article preview before saving the story, if desired. Simply change the text and click the Print Preview to refresh the preview.

If the article is placed on a page, the page preview icon will appear. Click the page preview icon to see a preview of the page on which the article is placed.

The page preview is not updated in real time. It will show the page's state as of the last time the page was saved in InDesign.
