Show
The show menu allows the user to affect how the ads ads displayed on the plan. See also Plan Layout and Terminology in this documentation to understand the display for each type of ad.
To change how ads and pages are displayed:
Choose View -> Show. The Show menu opens with these options.
Display Status
Check to display the colored status border around each display ad. The color matches the status‐flag color. Status flag colors are set in Naviga Plan Setup and can be viewed in the Plan
Liner Status
Check to display the colored status border around each liner. The color matches the status‐flag color.
Classification Bars
Check to display the colored vertical classification bar for display ads and liners. If the Color by Class check box is checked, instead of classification bars appearing the ad layout will be filled with the classification color.
Blank Variation Pages
When in the page variation edition, normally only the variation pages appear. Check to display (Not currently supported in Plan)
Blank Common Pages
When in multiple product view, normally only the variation pages appear. Check to display blank common pages
In Pairs
Check to organize the pages in printing pairs (as they are paired on the press) rather than in numerical sequence. Numbering reflects the collated numbering. For example, pairs for an eight‐page section would appear on the layout as 1 and 8, 2 and 7, 3 and 6, 4 and 5. The pairs may vary according to the page set’s designated press run. See Changing information about a page set
By Letter
Selecting to view by letter will start a new row for each new Section Letter. This is used in conjunction with # of Spreads being viewed. For example, if you have 8 pages in Section A, and are viewing 10 Spreads per row, you will still only have 8 pages in that row, because Section B will start in its own Row.
Color by Class
Check to display the entire ad in the classification color. If this is checked, classification bars do not appear.
Select One:
Failed Preferred
Check to display a large, red center for all ads that were not placed in their preferred positions.
Clashes
Check to display a large, red center for all ads that violate their clash codes.
Coupons
Check to display a large, red center for all ads that contain coupons.
Scatter
Check to display a large, red center for all scatter ads.
Bad Splits
Sometimes long legal ads split, and the parts become separated by other ads. If this is turned on, any separated legal ad parts appear in red.
Check the box for any item you want displayed. The menu closes and the change is put into effect.
Reopen the menu if you want to make any other changes.
Continue until all options are as you want them.
