Article size

This feature works together with Newsroom Planner and Writer in Dashboard.

If your organization uses Newsroom Planner, there is an option to give the article a size already when it is created in Newsroom Planner. When you open an article that has the size set, you see the expected size in the bottom bar. If a user changes the size of the article in Newsroom Planner, this will be live updated so you see this change immediately.

If you hover over the size information, details about the requirements and how many of them have been fulfilled, are presented. As soon as one of the requirements is fulfilled, you will see an icon to the left. When there are requirements as Image and Paragraph as the example below, the amount must be exactly within the limit value (and not missing). The image is within the limit but not the paragraph.

A progress bar and background color show how many parts of the requirements are fulfilled. Each rule has the same value in the progress bar (if 4/5 rules are done, the circle progress bar will show as 80% filled). When everything is ok, the background color turns to green (red if there is for example overset text).

The configuration of this plugin is set in Dashboard and in Newsroom planner config. For the Writer part you find the instructions in the Article Size plugin read.me found here.

Please, note that Newsroom Planner has to be of version 3.0 to include this functionality.
