Closing plans

To close a plan

  1. When you have finished with a plan, do one of the following to close it:

    • In the Plan menu, choose File -> Close.

    • Press Ctrl-W (Windows) or Command-W (Mac OS).

    • Close the window for the plan. See Closing windows.

  2. If you have not performed a save since your last changes, a Close Plan dialog box opens. Click Save. If there are any errors, the Saving Errors message box opens. It notifies you if any of the following problems exists:

    • An item with color has been placed on a page that does not use that color. The system administrator can enable (or disable) this option.

    • There are unplaced ads in the plan. You can close the warning box and place the ads. See Planning ads. Note: This is an optional warning. See Setting Plan preferences.

Closing windows

To close a window within plan (and plan itself), do any of the following:

  • Make sure the window you want to close is active. Press Alt-F4.

  • In the title bar, click the Close icon ( ).

  • In the title bar, click the icon in the left corner () and choose Close.

  • Right-click anywhere in the title bar and choose Close.

  • If a window has a File menu, choose File -> Close or Close Window.

  • In most windows, press Ctrl-W.

To close windows in the Macintosh operating system

Running in AWS, the system itself will be running in a Windows OS, but if you are running Workspaces from a mac, some of the shortcuts will be a little different.

To close out of Workspaces, user can use the Close icon ( ) or Command-Q. To close windows within the workspace, the following can be used:

  • If a window has a File menu, choose File -> Close or Close Window.

  • Press Option-F4

  • In most windows, press Command-W.

Exiting Naviga Plan

It is important to exit Naviga Plan correctly. To exit Naviga Plan:

In Windows, do one of the following:

  • From the Naviga Plan menu, choose File -> Quit

  • Press Ctrl+Q.

Using Mac OS, do one of the following:

  • From the Naviga Plan menu, choose File -> Quit

  • Press Ctrl+Q. Remember - Command-Q will close workspaces, so don't do that unless you want to completely exit the workspace.

If you have a plan open and have not performed a Save since your last changes, a Close Plan dialog box opens reminding you to save. Click Save.

Naviga Plan closes.
