Notes

Adding notes

You can add a single note to a plan or to a page. Also, you can add one or more notes to an ad or a reserved space.

Once a note is created, any user can modify the comments in the note, add more comments, or delete the note.

Note: You can add a temporary page note to a pasteboard page, but Naviga Plan does not save these notes, so they disappear when you close the Plan. See Using pasteboard pages.

To add notes to plans, pages, ads, and reserved spaces

  1. Select the item if creating a note for a page, ad, pasteboard, or reserved space

  2. Select the item and an existing note to read/edit/delete the note. If you only select the item it will create a new note rather than edit the existing one

  3. Ensure nothing is selected to create a note for the entire plan

  4. Do one of the following:

    • File -> Notes

    • Windows shortcut: Ctrl+Shift‐M

    • Mac Shortcut: Command+ Shift‐M

Using space notes

To read a note, do one of the following:

  • Select the note icon and choose File -> Notes. The note dialog box opens.

  • Place your mouse cursor over the note. The text of the note appears in the Plan Information bar. If the reserved space itself is selected, the Information bar also includes the space’s dimensions in the units you have selected in preferences. See The Plan Information bar, or Working with Objects in the Plan Layout.

To move an ad or reserved space note, select the note icon and choose File -> Notes. The dialog box opens. Uncheck the Lock Note icon and click OK. Drag and drop the note.

To delete a note, select the note icon and choose File -> Notes. The note dialog box opens. Click the Remove icon.

Note: If you unplan an ad with a note(s) on it, and then replan it. You won’t immediately see the notes until you save and refresh the plan.
