# Reset End Publ Run

Select this option to reopen the last closed publishing run for a product and delivery method. This will work for both publishing runs that ended normally, and in cases where the end publishing run process was started (by selecting Publishing | End Publ Run) and was abnormally stopped (for example, if the user pressed Ctrl-C). All draw figures are reset, and the publishing run is opened again. When you select End Publ Run again, draw figures are re-created. Only the last closed publishing run can be reopened, and only if the next publishing run has not already been started.

If the publication dates for **Mail** and **Route** delivery do not match, the system does not process future transactions. In this case, the following error message displays: “*Publication dates for Mail/Route are different dates. Please open a case for analyst assistance.*”

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** *You can set up security for this option so that only certain individuals are able to reset the End Publishing Run.*
{% endhint %}

#### To reset the publishing run:

1. Select `Utilities | End Publishing Run | Reset End Publ Run` to display the Reset End Publ Run screen.
2. Select **Add** and specify the publication and delivery method that should be reset.
3. The last publishing date for the publication and method entered will be displayed, and you will be prompted to whether the publishing run should be reset (answer “yes” to continue).

4. Select **Continue** to reset the publishing run. The Reset End Publ Run report will be created as part of this process—it lists information and errors that occurred during the reset operation. The standard viewing and printing options are available.
